The Tri-County Chronicle
East Texas has always had great stories to tell.
Stories of hardworking families, thriving local businesses, championship teams, dedicated teachers, community leaders, first responders, farmers, veterans, entrepreneurs, and neighbors helping neighbors.
Too often, those stories go untold.
That’s about to change.
We’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of The Tri-County Chronicle, a brand-new digital publication dedicated exclusively to covering the communities of Cherokee, Smith, and Henderson Counties.
The Tri-County Chronicle is being built on a simple idea:
Local news should be local.
That means local reporters covering local government, local schools, local businesses, local sports, and the people and events that shape everyday life across East Texas.
Our mission is to deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful journalism created by people who know these communities because they live here, work here, and call East Texas home.
From city council meetings in our towns and cities to Friday night lights, community festivals, economic development, small business success stories, and the remarkable people who make our region special, we’ll be there to tell the stories that matter.
We’re not interested in national headlines disguised as local news.
We’re interested in East Texas.
We’re interested in your town, your school, your business, your neighbors, and your community.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be building our team of homegrown journalists, photographers, and community contributors as we prepare for our official launch.
And we want you to be part of it.
Have a story idea? Know someone making a difference? Want to contribute photos, news tips, or community events? Interested in joining our reporting team?
We want to hear from you.
This isn’t just another news website.
It’s a community effort to strengthen local journalism across Cherokee, Smith, and Henderson Counties and create a publication that belongs to the people it serves.
The next chapter of East Texas journalism is being written right now.
And this is only the beginning.

Welcome to The Tri-County Chronicle.
Local News. Local Voices. East Texas Proud.
