On Thursday afternoon, while attempting to serve multiple arrest warrants, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Regional SWAT Team became involved in a stand off with a Jacksonville man, Andrew Morgan.
The Regional SWAT Team consists of select members of law enforcement agencies – Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Police, and the Bullard Police Department.
The residence was cleared by members of the Regional SWAT Team; however, Morgan was not located inside and remains at large.
Law enforcement officers are actively searching for Morgan. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office or their local law enforcement agency.
Morgan is considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach or attempt to apprehend him.
