Buckle Up Everybody! This ride could get bumpy!
After following my heart and relocating to the furthest East in Texas that I have ever been, I took the time to research what was missing in my new community.
LOCAL NEWS.
I went to a couple of gas stations local to my new home, and surprisingly enough, there wasn’t a single newspaper on a random rack… ANYWHERE.
So after much soul searching and unwavering support from my new beau and his extremely supportive family, motivation from my staff, and so many other factors, the idea of the Tri-County Chronicle was born.
Working on this since March, I wanted to duplicate the success we have had in the flagship paper, The NavCo Chronicle, based primarily in Navarro County.
We plan to focus on local news and events, as well as feature articles about what is important to East Texans.
That being said, The Chronicle brand is searching for student interns, new reporters with photography skills – essentially locals are needed to educate us about all of East Texas!
